In honor of National Poetry Month, students in Mrs. Xiong's class at Fernbrook Elementary School explored a variety of poetry styles, including free verse, rhyming, acrostic, cinquain and haiku.

On March 18, students, families and staff came together at Fernbrook Elementary School for an evening of fun and a friendly competition of basketball during the Kidstop program’s March Madness family event. 

Fifth graders at Elm Creek, Fernbrook and Rice Lake elementary schools recently celebrated their graduation from the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. DARE is a drug abuse prevention education program intended to give elementary school children skills to resist peer pressure to use tobacco, drugs and alcohol. 

Nothing brings out the competitive spirit quite like a school bingo night, where staff, families and students unite under a single goal: yelling ‘BINGO!’ louder than anyone else in the room.

While the 2025-26 school year is still young, Osseo Area Schools is already making preparations for a smooth transition to new attendance boundaries at the elementary and middle school level for the fall of 2026. 

At Fernbrook Elementary School, special education teacher Sarah Freese has worked with students for three and a half years, creating a supportive learning environment with individualized instruction to help her students succeed.  

Individual Student Reports (ISR) for students that completed statewide testing in spring 2025 are now available in ParentVUE under the documents tab.
